A heavy rainfall stopped in a moment, black clouds cleared away, typhoons died out, clouds appeared and disappeared, and stars moved! Such works of God's power took place in Manmin Summer Retreat and caused Manmin to believe the authenticity of the Bible. Here are a few testimonies.
Torrential Downpours Stopped in an Instant
In August 1983, Manmin Central Church had its students' and young adults' summer retreat. But the previous day, there was localized torrential rainfall in Seoul and Gyeonggi including the retreat venue in Daebu Island, Incheon. At dawn on the day of the retreat, it was still pouring with crashing thunder and lightning. It just didn't seem to stop.

"Our departure time was drawing near, but pouring rain was still hitting the windows and it just didn't appear to be stopping. But we had seen many works of God through Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee, so we completely believed that it would stop raining after he prayed.
All people in attendance were of one same heart. Dr. Lee and we prayed together, went out, and took our steps to the ground. At that moment, the heavy rain suddenly hovered like early morning fog and disappeared in a moment. We jumped, danced, and shouted with joy. I can't still forget the moment."
Heavy Sea Waves Couldn't Stop the Summer Retreat
In July 1986, the Light and Salt Mission members were set to come back home from Summer Retreat held on (the island) Ulleung-do. The weather forecast said that a typhoon alert had been issued for the sea and large waves were hitting the shore. The members had to go to work the next day so Dr. Jaerock Lee got a boat used in cuttlefish fishing. They sailed from Ulleung-do through monstrous sea waves in the small boat and safely arrived at Dodong Port.

I was not afraid at all. It was because I was given spiritual faith witnessing a woman who was like dead stand up and walk by Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer in the Revival Meeting held in the small church in Ulleung-do. I also spent time in grace and emotion throughout the Summer Retreat.
Large sea waves looked like they were overtaking our boat, but we danced to the song, 'When Jesus Commands, Raging Waves Calm Down'. We had been determined to live for the Lord during the retreat though our faith was small. Several members who were there with me have grown up as pastors and workers used preciously in the church."
Clouds Came from All Directions and Covered the Sun
In August 1999, the Men's Mission members were having Summer Retreat at the Cheongun Training Center in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province. The organizing office made thorough preparation for the Sports Day so that all of members could have a great time with their parents and children.

"When I arrived at the field for the event, not a single cloud was in sight and there was no wind. It was just scorching. But when Dr. Jaerock Lee prayed for the event and the weather, clouds suddenly came from all directions. I can't forget the spectacle. God let cloud banks cover the sun so our members could enjoy the sporting events in happiness amid cool breeze in a shady field."
"Brothers and sisters, take a look at stars in the sky"
In August 2001, College Mission members were having their Summer Retreat in Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province. It was a pitch-dark night. There was thunder and lightning around the retreat venue. No one could expect to see any stars in the sky! But, the attendees prepared for the event of 'Watching Stars' with faith.

"We were about to have the event of 'Watching Stars' but the sky was filled with black clouds and no star could be found. It was a pitch-dark night such that we couldn't see things around us and it was difficult to recognize people right next to us. But after Dr. Jaerock Lee prayed, stars came to our sight one by one and soon countless stars were twinkling only in the sky over us. All members gave glory to God with emotion."
