[Feature Story] Manmin's Vision - New Jerusalem's Model, Grand Sanctuary

God established Manmin Central Church, gave a vision for the construction of Grand Sanctuary, and had the members pray for it. The Grand Sanctuary is the place where all people of all nations will gather and worship God who created and supervises the whole universe and all things in it. He is worthy to receive honor and praise forever and ever. The name doesn't just refer to a grand-sized sanctuary where numerous people worship Him but also it refers to the best of sanctuaries that pleases God. While celebrating Manmin's 30th Anniversary, let's be reminded of God's providence placed in the Grand Sanctuary's construction—Manmin's vision and its scale.
 Grand Sanctuary, a monumental building symbolizing God's victory in the process of human cultivation
The Bible tells us that King Solomon could construct the temple of God because his father, King David, was a man after God's heart. David loved God so much from the bottom of his heart, so he wanted to offer up God's temple and provided the best building materials for it. He even got materials from other neighboring countries. That is, he made thorough preparations for the construction. But God didn't allow him to construct His temple since he had shed much blood in warfare. Instead, He let the temple be built in King Solomon's time.
Let's think those who are qualified to build the Grand Sanctuary symbolizing the completion of human cultivation in the end time. Only God's sanctified children who have achieved God's temple in their hearts with true heart and perfect faith are qualified for that. Therefore, "Grand Sanctuary" stands for God's victory in human cultivation and also brings comforts to His heart. In other words, the Grand Sanctuary being constructed itself indicates that God's numerous children qualified to build it have come forth.
Twelve grand columns symbolizing the twelve foundation stones of the walls of New Jerusalem
Grand Sanctuary is encircled by the twelve big columns. Between them are seven smaller ones. Thus, the number of the columns totals 96. The twelve big ones are made of cream-colored, clear, and gorgeous marbles. Their upper parts have sculpted flowers surrounding them. The flowers have five petals and in the stamens and pistil are gemstones symbolizing the twelve foundation stones of New Jerusalem written in Revelation 21:19-20. The gemstones give out brilliant and colorful lights when the lighting is on, which lets people enjoy heaven-like beauty.
Seven smaller pillars with carved images that stand for God's creation work
The seven smaller pillars built between each two grand columns signify that God will complete human cultivation through the Grand Sanctuary's construction. The first pillar shows the first day of God's creation. To describe His word, "Let there be light," the first one is equipped with a device that gives out gorgeous lights glowing brightly even in darkness just like rainbow-colored ones broken up from a prism.
The second one has ornaments and images that display the second day of His creation: making the expanse and separating the waters which were below the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse. Likewise, the third through sixth pillars express God's creation work of each day with carved images.
On the third one are the carved images of beautiful plants including grapevines and fruits. On the fourth one are of the sun, the moon, and stars. On the fifth one are various kinds of fish and birds including doves. On the sixth one are of living creatures like cattle and flock and it also has the images of Adam and Eve.
In accordance with the creation order, images are sculpted on each pillar. They make people feel how beautiful, mysterious, and profound all things God created are.
The seventh pillar expresses the heart of God who rested after the creation of the heavens and the earth and all things in them. Of course, we can't express the glory of the holy God and His beauty enough with material on the earth. But pure gold and every kind of jewels are used to express them.
In addition, the seventh pillar contains red-, blue-, white-, and golden-colored lights that show God-given power. On the upper part of the lights, the light of glory and the original light of creation are expressed. A bright, beautiful, transparent lighting system adds beauty to the ornamentation and images on the whole pillar.
Twelve gates reminding us of the twelve pearl gates of New Jerusalem
Grand Sanctuary has the twelve gigantic gates between the twelve big columns. Each gate has two doors that open to both sides. Beside the two doors stand two sculpted angels respectively. It makes us think of the angels guarding New Jerusalem's pearl gates as said in Revelation 21:12-13. The walls between the gates have the Bible verses about New Jerusalem so that believers can read and have fullness of hope for New Jerusalem.
A huge oval structure of 600 meters in diameter with a cross-shaped dome that will open automatically
Grand Sanctuary is a large oval structure. The distance between two grand columns that stand right opposite to each other is 600m, which means the sanctuary is 600 meters in diameter. It has basement at a depth of 20 meters underground and its height is 40 meters above the ground. Thus, the height of the building is 60 meters. On the top of the sanctuary and at its center stands a ten-meter-high cross. Thus, the total height of Grand Sanctuary is 70 meters. This oval structure has a dome that opens in a cross shape automatically.
Grand Sanctuary manifesting the glory of God in the physical space
God planed human cultivation and created the heavens and the earth and all things in them. He will show His glory by letting His children whom He gained with His tears, sacrifice, and patience construct Grand Sanctuary in the final chapter of human cultivation. In the Sanctuary the message of salvation that is in accordance with the will of God will be proclaimed and the Holy Spirit's powerful works manifested so that people can see conclusive proofs of the living God.
Non-Christians as well as Christians will come to the Sanctuary longing for the power of God. There, they will understand the providence of God's creation and glorify and praise Him. Additionally, all things that happen in it will be broadcast throughout the whole world, so the Sanctuary will play a significant role of the world mission.
Grand Sanctuary will show God's glory on the earth. Manmin will never stop marching towards the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ as said in Ephesians 4:13 and praying fervently to achieve God's providence. We give all thanks and glory to Father God who gave us this magnificent vision.
