At the General Meeting, some church workers and members who were recognized for their great endeavors received the 'Plaque of Appreciation' and the "Plaque of Recognition.' The plaques are awarded to those who were recognized for their endeavors after a review and discussion at the Church Dignitaries Association Meeting.
[Plaque of Recognition] "God Wonderfully Accomplished Israel Mission" - Deacon Ronya Son
In the providence of God, our church successfully finished Israel mission through twelve mission trips from July, 2007 to September, 2009. Deacon Ronya Son received the honor of being awarded the plaque of recognition in recognition for his endeavors for the Israel mission and the preparation for the Israel United Crusade. Over a period of three years he visited Israel 20 times. There are many Russian Jews in Israel. Because he studied Russian abroad in St. Petersburg of Russia by the grace of God, he could contact many Russian Jewish pastors. He was not only in charge of translating Dr. Jaerock Lee's messages into Russian but also fulfilled many important tasks as a chief-affairs officer in the Israel mission. One of the most unforgettable things was that he could be used to translate the message 'Why Jesus Is Our Only Savior?" preached by Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee in Bethlehem in the Palestine where conflicts between Arab and Israel continue to take place. There are no acquaintances there until a meeting was held that was attended by 250 people. He visited the Palestine 12 times with only faith and helping Elder Johnny Kim. "The Israel mission was the continuation of tension. When I remember that God has led us every step of the way in difficult reality and that we had the Israel United Crusade at ICC (International Convention Center) located at the center of Jerusalem, I become overwhelmed by God's love. He was thankful to God for using him in this historical event in which Jesus was proclaimed as the Messiah by a Christian pastor in Jerusalem, which is the center of Judaism.

"I Felt the Biggest Happiness When the Congregation Was Touched by the Choir" - Pastor Sunghun Ahn
Pastor Sunghun Ahn worked dedicatedly as the Conductor of the Immanuel Choir for 27 years. He became the first conductor of our church on May 1, 1983. In the daytime, he visited the members as a servant of the Lord and at night he focused on choosing songs for the choir. He himself even composed and arranged songs from time to time. Although he hadn't had any education in that field, he was able to do it by the grace of God. In 1994, one day when it was about two months before the Thanksgiving Service, Senior Pastor appeared to him in a dream. "Pastor Sunghun Ahn! Why don't you compose a song for the Thanksgiving Service?" Seeking wisdom from God, he, for the first time composed a song for Thanksgiving and glorified God. When he couldn't receive the inspiration, he often had to sit up all night. Arranging songs for the orchestra was not an easy task. When he was in agony composing a song, God sometimes gave him inspiration so that he could write a song quickly and there were also times when he easily finished writing songs after receiving the prayer from Senior Pastor. Pastor Ahn says he felt the biggest happiness when the congregation shed tears of joy through the choir. He resigned his position as conductor last November 22 to focus on saving souls. He didn't forget to express gratitude to the choir members who had been with him. He is now serving members as the 3-31st Parish Leader and working hard to become a powerful servant of God.
"I Try My Best to Express the Heavenly Melody with Inspiration" - Deaconess Jin Lee
Deaconess Jin Lee (piano player) received a plaque of appreciation in recognition of her effort in the development of the praise ministry by arranging songs given from God. Our church provides members with spiritually pure and clear songs as we receive many songs from God through a gift of God and inspirational revelation. In last February, 2009, starting from 'The Confession of the Lord' which was one of the songs sung in Easter Cantata, Deaconess Lee has arranged about 80 songs including theme songs for devotional services and songs used in church's major events. It's never easy task to arrange these many songs in just 10 months. She says she is offering up prayer for arranging songs according to the heart of God because it is impossible without God's help. "Until the songs came out as an album, God helped us every important moment when we were looking for a recording room and hiring an engineer" said Deaconess Lee. Also, she has unique passion for learning. Even when she was busy going on mission trips and attending Israel United Crusade as a piano player for the Hallelujah Praise Team, she was majoring in Applied Music at the Graduate School of Dongduk Women's University. Her goal is to compose and arrange songs that can even touch the heart of non-believers or music professionals as well as Christians.
"I Wanted to Become Strength to the Church and the Shepherd through Volunteer Works" - Deaconess Susan Heekyung Kim
Deacon Kim volunteered for the Security Team, and she visited overseas countries at her own expense to promote the Dr. Jaerock Lee's crusades. She started her volunteer works with the Two-week Special Revival Meeting which was held in May, 1998. From that point on and now for over 10 years, she has volunteered in various worship services, and she helped patients and guided members at the Special Revival Meetings, Divine Healing Meetings and at the events of branch churches. Deaconess Kim also volunteered in overseas countries. Beginning in 2000, she advertised Dr. Jaerock Lee's overseas crusades in Japan, the Philippines, India, Russia, Germany, Peru and Israel. For she thought her work as very precious work to save souls, she traveled about to let more people hear the news of the crusades. Sometimes she participated in the performance of fan dance wearing a Hanbok (Korean traditional style dress). In Russia, where it was extremely cold, she spread the news about the crusade all day long in only a Hanbok without wearing a coat! "People who passed by asked me if I wasn't cold, but actually I didn't feel cold at all," said Deaconess Kim. We could feel how earnest her love toward God was.
