Deacon Hongsup Kim
This is Deacon Hongsup Kim from Yanbian, China, writing. Overcome by family discord and business failures, I'd spent most of my life drenched in alcohol. When ascites developed and bleeding began in May 2005, I went to the hospital and was diagnosed with the last stage of liver cirrhosis and pernicious anemia. Yet, there was no cure and my sickness only worsened. When the bleeding resumed July 2006, I had to take out the blood by the bucket for three days. I was always dizzy, short on breath, unable to stand up from my seat, and it was just excruciatingly unbearable to speak. As I was lying in bed, thinking of my impending death, I did not have enough energy to take even a step. When my daughter living in Beijing told me that the New York Crusade was soon coming up, I made the journey to the capital. It took me 2 hours from my home to the train station and another 24 hours from the train station to Beijing. However, because receiving Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer for the sick at the New York Crusade was the last hope for me, I went to Beijing and participated in the Crusade on the Internet. The fact that I'd even made to Beijing was a miracle in itself. After listening to Rev. Dr. Lee's messages, I received his prayer for the sick. The moment I received the prayer, I was profoundly touched in my heart, began to shed tears without really understanding why, and felt strengthened from head to toe. After receiving the prayer, I became whole as the dropsy in my belly began to subside, the dizziness and headaches went away, and my palms, which were usually pale, became normal again. Today, I eat well, exercise every morning, and work as hard as I can!
