The National Students' Badminton Contest took place from July 24 to 29. Each match, I carried the handkerchief on which Rev. Dr. Lee had prayed and prayed for that match with it on my chest. Then, I sprayed Muan sweet water on my racket, sneakers, and over my body. My partner and I defeated our rivals at each match and rose into the finals. At the first set we defeated them easily but on the second set we were defeated by our rivals because they pressed on us and we lost strength and concentration. The third set was crucial in deciding the gold or silver medal. The match was the very fiercest: the scores were 1:1, 2:2, … … 9:9, and 10:10. Strength and concentration was more influential than ability and skill. "Lord, help me." I prayed to the Lord in my mind and cried three times, "God of the shepherd!" Then, I felt power coming down on me, and so did my partner. I became more prefect in the performance. "Gold Medal!" We hit 5 points continually and won the game by the score of 15:10. My goal is to attend the 2008 Beijing Olympics as a representative and win the gold medal so that I glorify God and please my shepherd Rev. Dr. Lee.
