The 2018 International Trumpet Guild Conference was held in San Antonio, Texas in U.S. from May 29 to June 2. On the last day, Sister Dayoung Kim, a member of Performing Arts Committee, took part in ITG Youth Competition and won the first prize.

"I had to send the recording of my performance to ITG in the preliminary round. I couldn't do it well right before the deadline. I received Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee's recorded prayer on Automated Response System and recorded it. I was amazed because I succeeded at once after the prayer. After I got a call that I passed the preliminary, I did not have much time to prepare for it because of concerts and school tests. Without perfect preparation, I had to leave for the United States on May 28. I felt nervous because I couldn't perform a certain part well even during the final rehearsal.

But the day before the competition, I offered up Friday All-night Service through the live broadcasting and received the recorded prayer of Senior Pastor. Next day, I performed in the competition. I was really surprised to perform well at the part that had been hard. I even won the first prize. I was so thankful to the Lord. I give thanks to Senior Pastor who prayed for me."

The panel of judges in the competition said concerning her performance, "She showed her understanding of attractive aspects of the music in her performance. Her techniques were impressive, and she played all variations exactly." She won the first prizes in Woohyun Gwanak Competition, Music Association of Korea Competition, and Seoul National University Gwanak Competition. She performed with Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra and was selected as Kumho Prodigy Artist.
