One day in January 2024, I woke up in the morning and felt pain in my neck. I could feel a small lump. As time passed, the lump grew bigger and bigger to turn into a bump, and the affected area became swollen. It was easily visible, so I turned up my collar or covered it with a scarf. ...
Deacon Jinwook Ham, age 39, Parish 16, Manmin Central Church
I had very good eyesight during my schooldays. It was always 2.0/1.5 when tested, and I was very proud of it. As I began working, however, I drove a lot for business trips, easily felt tired, and often had headaches. I often massaged my head and shoulders while driving.
In 2014, my regular medical check-up result showed the reason for my tiredness and headaches; it was my eyesight, which had become 1.2/0.6. I had heard many testimonies of the church members who were healed of bad eyesight, so I longed to receive healing. I received Senior Pastor's prayer for the sick by faith every worship service.
In 2016, I had a medical check-up again. My eyesight was 1.2/0.9 which showed improvement of my right eyesight. I looked back upon the near past and realized I had no more headaches and felt better than before. I came to have more longing for better eyesight.
In March 2018, the moon that had looked distant came to look clearer and closer. I thought that it could be my eyesight improvement. I excitedly had a regular medical check-up. It was 1.5/1.5 in both eyes. Hallelujah!
I was guided to Manmin Central Church in 1996 by my grandmother. I started to lead a Christian life in earnest in 2002. From January 2004, I started to work as an insurance salesman. I wanted to receive financial blessing and thereby glorify God and become the source of strength for the shepherd. I held onto the Passage that says, "For whatever a man sows, this he will also reap" (Galatians 6:7) and decided to give my severance pay to God.
In May 2004, I was given the opportunity to give offerings for flower decoration on the altar during a Special Revival Meeting. My brother Deacon Jongwook Ham and I were so happy to see the flowers while we were volunteering for those who were on wheelchairs. In May 2008, I sold my car and offered the money up in my devotional service. God blessed me to prosper in my work performance. In July, I could give 12 hundred dollars as a tithe.
2 Corinthians 9:7 reads, "Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." As my wife and I gave offerings with our hearts, God guided us to the way of blessing and I kept getting promoted in my workplace. Now I am the director. I give all thanks and glory to God.
