"I Couldn't Walk Well But Now I Can Even Play Soccer!"
Brother Laigerma, age 11, Kinshasa Manmin Church, DR Congo
I had congenital lymphatic edema even from when I was much younger. My left leg was swollen and had an oozing sore. My grandmother took me to a clinic for those with physical disabilities and I had to take medicine always.
I wanted to play like other children but I could not walk well due to my legs. I felt painful and sad. I could not go anywhere alone without someone else's help. Only with my grandmother's help, I could move. When pain was so great, I could not go to school.
In September 2016, my grandmother heard that a Korean pastor would visit the Church of the Living God and I would be able to be healed if I received her prayer. She suggested going there together. I went to a church for the first time and received Rev. Heesun Lee's prayer of handkerchief (Acts 19:11-12).
After the prayer, my legs felt so different. I was given strength in my legs and came to walk. I no longer had pain. It was like a dream. The swelling of my leg subsided and I came to play with friends and even play soccer. Now my mom and grandfather also go to church. I give thanks to the Lord.
