One day in January 2024, I woke up in the morning and felt pain in my neck. I could feel a small lump. As time passed, the lump grew bigger and bigger to turn into a bump, and the affected area became swollen. It was easily visible, so I turned up my collar or covered it with a scarf. ...
On December 18, 2006, a company placed a rush order to do an interior work of a room that was to be used by its employees as a kitchen and a cafeteria. The work had to be finished within 3 days so I had to work from 8 o'clock in the morning to midnight. After all the work was complete, the space between two of my toes where I'd been suffering from athlete's foot began to itch. I started scratching the part but then the parts between all the left toes began to peel off and crack. Something like that had happened before so I didn't think too much of it. Then the whole foot began to swell up and on December 28, an excruciating pain developed throughout my left leg. My foot had swollen so much that the anklebone couldn't be found. Like the mercurial column on a thermometer, my leg began to turn red from the foot up. The top of my left foot turned into a giant bruise and the tremendous pain that was felt whether I was sitting down or standing up made it all the more difficult for me to do either. I received Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer on December 29. As he prayed for me earnestly, the Senior Pastor reminded me that keeping the Lord's Day holy and giving God the whole tithes were the integral aspect for a believer. On Sunday, December 31, I received the Senior Pastor's prayer again. After receiving his prayer, the swelling that had been climbing up the leg through the veins stopped. As the swelling subsided, the skin that had turned red began to turn lighter while the outer skin began to peel off. When I received Rev. Dr. Lee's prayer the third time, I could begin walking about as all the pain in the left leg disappeared and the complexion on my leg became normal again. Hallelujah! I found out afterwards that a hand-borne infection had crept into the site of the athlete's foot and after another round of infections, the germs infiltrated the veins. If left unhealed, the bacteria would have crept into major organs and caused sepsis, "a severe illness caused by overwhelming infection of the bloodstream by toxin-producing bacteria." In the worst case, I could have died. I give thanks to the God of goodness who has rescued me from the threat of sepsis!
