Recently my life has been filled with happiness because of the love and grace God has given to me. In fact, I received the gift of speaking in tongue when I was an 8th grader. I graduated from a mission school, but I didn't attend church for a long time.
The things that gave me true faith were Dr. Jaerock Lee's sermon tapes, his books, and Manmin News. Deaconess Haeja Park, my sister-in-law living in Seoul, gave them to me from time to time. One day, I also had a chance encounter in a car repair shop with Pastor Dongheon Kim from Chuncheon Manmin Church. After talking to him, I came to realize the love of God and the Lord more deeply.
Christian Life is to Resemble the Lord
In 2010, I came to know what's important in a Christian life while listening to the sermons in Chuncheon Manmin Church. It is to resemble the Lord.
I thought that I had never given any kind of difficulty to others and pursued only goodness in serving others. I also used to believe that I had nothing to do with sins. While listening to the sermons however, I came to discover the different forms of the untruthful heart such as arrogance, egotism, and ill-feeling in me. I repented with tears.
In the meantime, I felt the warm love of God. In April 2011, I couldn't use my left arm for three weeks because of severe pain. I had to use my left arm since I was running a beauty salon and I am left-handed! But I couldn't. I couldn't even cook, so my husband helped me.
At the right time, I had an opportunity to see Dr. Jaerock Lee with our church members. I received his prayer. The next day I put a crusty piece of overcooked rice in my mouth. A smell like that of peppermint tickled my nose.
I thought to myself, "Where's that smell coming from?" At the very moment, two thick beams of light came into my left wrist. I also saw something like a vale of wet fog under my left arm at the same time. It looked very mysterious and amazing. Furthermore, I came to freely use my left arm with which I hadn't been able to do anything with at all.
Since then my life has been filled with the grace of God all the more. In June, a corn on my second finger disappeared. In July, I was full of the love of God seeing the aurora lights taken on my cell phone during the Leadership Conference. In August, I witnessed countless swarms of dragonflies come down from heaven and sit on Manmin members and me. It was all so miraculous and such a tremendously joyful experience.
The Abundant Fruit of Evangelization
I started to testify to the powerful works that I had experienced, which led me to the evangelization of more than ten people. They said with happiness they felt that all church members were like their own family members.
In particular, Sister Soyung Bae read through Dr. Lee's testimonial book Tasting Eternal Life before Death and received a lot of grace. Then she received the prayer of Pastor Dongheon Kim with the handkerchief on which Dr. Lee had prayed (Acts 19:11-12). She felt hot in her lower abdomen and then the aftereffect, which she had suffered since the removal surgery on her ovarian lump, vanished. She also was healed of enteritis not after long.
In the end of last year, I was awarded the Excellent Cell Leader Prize. I am even appointed as a Sub-district leader this year. Above all, I am trying hard to resemble the Lord and take the better dwelling place in Heaven by force as written in Matthew 11:12. Joy and thanksgiving fill my heart. I also pray to deliver the love of God whom I met to more and more people.
