Easter is the day to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus who overcame death and resurrected on the third day from crucifixion to redeem mankind from sins. This is the day of blessing because we have hope of resurrection and hope of enjoying eternal life as we believe in the Lord of resurrection. Life in this world is not the whole of it. There definitely exists another life after death. Heaven and Hell both surely exist and those who believe in the Lord can be resurrected and enter into heaven. That's why the Bible calls those who were saved and died 'asleep,' not 'dead.'
