In the beginning of new year, most people start with new resolutions for their desires of heart. So at the end of the year when they have their desires realized after making incessant efforts, they can taste the great joy.
It is truly great to have one’s desires of heart come true. However, it will never be the final joy if the desires are from evil. It is because having the desires from evil realized can make one insolent and indulge in evil even deeper.
Therefore, our true desires should be from the goodness and we must cast away the untruths which are against the word of God. As we are in the truth, God’s love will come upon us, so that everything will go well with us and we will be able to harvest good fruits. Realizing this, we should believe in God and follow His good will to have all wishes of our hearts come true and truly rejoice. "A longing fulfilled is sweet to the soul, but fools detest turning from evil."(Proverbs 13:19)
