Amazing Grace is a Christian hymn written by John Newton. He was a captain of a slave ship and he was involved in the slave trade. The song was his confession of faith. After he met the Lord, he earnestly spread the gospel until he was over 80 years old. He often said, "Although my memory's fading, I remember two things very clearly: I was a great sinner and Christ is the great Savior who saved me." Though our memory is all gone, one thing cannot be forgotten at all. It is the grace of God.
