When a negative-minded person does something wrong, he tends to step back or give up rather than try to correct it. If Peter had just given up everything after his denial of the Lord, he could not have cleared his name as a betrayer. What if Apostle Paul had stuck to his past wrongdoings—persecuting believers in the Lord? Instead of giving up, it was because of them that he gave more thanks for the love of the Lord and preached the gospel more earnestly as a great apostle.
