Most people set a personal goal in life and try hard to gain things like fame, authority, or wealth. When God calls our spirits, however, we can take nothing. All things we gained on the Earth will be done in vain. But here is one thing that is not gained in vain: eternal life we gained by accepting Jesus as our Savior and dwelling in the truth. This eternal life is given only by faith, so faith is the treasure of treasures.
"Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1).
