There are people today who believe that self-esteem and respect are the most important things in life. Do you really think self-respect raises your value as a human being? The Bible tells us to have the heart to serve others in order to be treasured by God. For example, after the apostle Paul accepted the Lord, he humbled himself and sacrificed his life for souls' salvation. He died as a martyr even though he had been born into a good family and was well-educated with the best educational background available. In the end he was recognized as the best evangelist in the New Testament time. He even possesses the glory of New Jerusalem, the best dwelling place in heaven.
