When you pass through a small gate, you are forced to bend your body over humbly. But when you meet a person of virtue, no matter how high his position is and no matter how renowned he is, you don't have to humble yourself in such a manner. Generally speaking, it is not easy to approach a person whose heart has been closed because of his pride and stubbornness. Even if it is possible, one cannot easily expect to hear from him. On the contrary, a person whose heart is gentle and humble gives others rest and peace so that many people enjoy getting together with him.
