May, the Month of Family - Healthy Family Filled with Happiness

Manmin News   No. 144

May, which is called the "month of family", is the best time of the year for families to enjoy spending time together. The way to the happy family is simpler than people think. By sowing seeds of love and providing care and service, anyone can bear a happy family as the fruit.
The Scripture also tells the secrets to having a happy family in Ephesians 5:22-6:4. It says that the wives should be subject to their husbands as to the Lord, and the husbands should love their wives just as Christ also loved the church and sacrificed Himself for her. It tells us that fathers should not provoke their children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
The bottom line of the above verses is spiritual love. The family should live in love and respect. Thereby, you can have a happy family by standing firm on faith. This spiritual love is one of the best of the gifts that comes from, God and it gives you the strength to overcome any kind of hardship or difficulties.
Various church events will take place celebrating this month of the family. On May 3, the Children's Sunday school had their children's day celebration service in the second sanctuary of Manmin Central Church. Rev. Soojin Lee, President of Pastors' Association, delivered the message titled with "True Children" and urged our children to become God's true children who can receive answers and blessing by resembling God Father.
The Students' Sunday school will also have a special Saturday worship service with their parents. By inviting their parents and preparing for a time of forgiveness and understanding towards each other, student members and their parents are expected to come closer to being united as one in love as family.
In celebration of the "Parents Day," the Senior Deaconesses' Association will invite elderly members who are over 70 to celebrate in the main sanctuary after Sunday morning service on May 10.
And each parish has a plan to have time of sharing love by visiting elderly members. Each mission is also preparing events in which they will express their thankful hearts to their guidance pastors and financial directors.
