On Friday, December 19, Manmin Central Church held a Christmas Lighting Ceremony in its courtyard to spread the word of the love of Jesus who came into this world as the Savior of all mankind and the birth of Baby Jesus.
In attendance were Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee, many pastors and Manmin members, all of whom partook in the joy of Christmas and prayed for the gospel of sanctification to be spread to all the peoples.
Dr. Jaerock Lee said, "May each of you give thanks to God for His grace by which He sent Jesus into this world to forgive us of our sins, and become a blessed believer taking after the heart of Our Lord." Following the lighting, performances by Praise Missionary Iris Kim, the Joint Choirs, the Gold Crown Ensemble, and the Marching Band were broadcast live to the rest of the globe on Manmin TV via satellite and on the Internet. On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, the event was rebroadcast on Manmin TV.
The interiors of the Main Sanctuary were decorated under a theme "Christmas in Heaven"; pillars and walls were adorned with large crowns and Christmas trees, and a variety of ornaments. The exteriors were adorned with an enormous Christmas tree (10 meters, or about 32 feet, in height) and an arch-shaped neon signs that consisted of more than 37,000 pieces of LED lighting equipment.
The Christmas Eve Service held at 7 p.m. featured a sermon message by Rev. Dr. Esther K. Chung and performances by the Hallelujah Praise Team, the Crystal Singers, the Sound and Light Ensemble, the praising by the choir, and a one-act play portraying the course of Jesus' birth. The next day at 11 a.m., Dr. Jaerock Lee led the Christmas Service and proclaimed a message entitled "Jesus Christ" (Isaiah 53:4-5).
