"The Korea-Japan Cultural & Performing Arts Festival," hosted by Ida Manmin Church, took place at Kanae Culture Center, on Tuesday, December 23, 2008. The event, featuring traditional musical instruments of Korea and Japan, was held to teach the true meaning of Christmas and preach the Gospel to ordinary folks unfriendly to Christianity. The Festival showcased performances by the Serem Korean Traditional Music Team of Manmin Central Church, North Pro Performance Team, Aya Japanese Traditional Performance Team, and Performing Arts Teams of Ida Manmin Church. The Festival was broadcast by 3 over-the-air TV stations including NBS Nagano TV and covered and sponsored by 5 daily newspapers including The Shinano Mainichi Newspaper and The Shinshu Newspaper. All of the proceeds from the Festival were donated to the Ida Community Welfare Council. To this date, Ida Manmin Church has put the love of Our Lord into practice and spread the Gospel through visits to the welfare facilities for the elderly and other public facilities, and the cultural exchange programs.
