GCN Participated in the 2016 NRB International Christian Media Convention_Leading Global Broadcasters Are Working Together to Spread the Gospel

From February 22 through 26, the 2016 NRB International Christian Media Convention was held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, USA. And GCN participated in the convention.

The NRB (National Religious Broadcasters) was organized to protect Christian broadcasters' rights and benefits. With the U.S. as the center, 1,400 organizations around the world belong to NRB. They meet regularly and exchange broadcasting techniques and programs. In 2016, more than 4,700 people from 175 broadcasters from 44 countries joined, built partnerships with fellow Christian broadcasters, and exchanged broadcasting techniques. Meantime they shared vision for the broadcasting ministry.

This year GCN (www.gcntv.org) began by attending the International Reception, and continued to participate in many events including Film Screening and the TV Advisory Council and Standing Committee Meeting to establish partnerships with many other Christian broadcasters. At the Media Leadership Dinner, many opinions were shared over the current situation of Middle East, the influence of IS (Islamic State), and the persecution on Christian media and faith by minority groups like homosexuals. Additionally, by listening to various seminars and having conversations with professionals and intellectuals in the meetings, GCN could learn many effective ways to spread the gospel through digital media technology.

GCN's booth was decorated in blue and white which symbolize Heaven and holiness respectively. In the booth, GCN showed Dr. Jaerock Lee's HD sermon programs, the 33rd church's anniversary celebration performance, the programs on the overseas crusades such as 'Reminiscence' and 'Walk of Faith'. Various other programs including 'Creation and Science' and 'WCDN' were also publicized. In addition, Dr. Lee's books and Muan Sweet Water of power (Exodus 15:25) caught people's attention.

NRB President, Dr. Jerry Johnson, and other NRB leaders visited GCN's booth and increased fellowship all the more. Dr. Frank Wright, NRB's Former President visited and said, "GCN's various approaches to programs and, especially, the programs broadcast in Israel were very interesting. I give thanks to Board Chairman, Dr. Jaerock Lee."

Vice Board Chairman John Carley stated, "GCN fulfilled NRB's three resolutions: Advancing Biblical Truth in Culture, Excellence in Media, and Freedom in Media. I am very pleased to meet this GCN." Mr. Andre Bidnyuk, CEO Russian Broadcasting Network (RBN) said, "Through Dr. Lee's sermon programs many people have been healed and witnessed God's works. I am so glad!"

GCN also met many Christian broadcasters including NRB Former Board Director Dr. John Ankerberg who is also a broadcaster; Dr. Warren Trumbly Vice President of Operation LPTV, OTA broadcasting LLC (NYC Ch. 17, WEBR); President Maxim Maximov of CNL TV; Dr. Randy Wise, President of IBN & EICB; and NRB International Committee Chairman Stan Jeter. They enjoyed fellowship together in the Holy Spirit. They also agreed on the promotion of cooperation and shared the great vision of broadcasting ministry that leads countless souls to salvation in this end time.
