Deaconess Sungjin Yun, aged 38, increased her faith when she delivered a healthy child by God's work in November 2013. When she was in the fifth month of pregnancy, the Quad Screen Test (identifying pregnancies at risk of carrying a baby with genetic disorder) revealed that her baby had a high risk for Down syndrome. However, she received Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer and delivered a healthy child (more on page 4).
No matter how fearless one is, if she has a baby diagnosed with Down syndrome before birth, she must feel hopeless. Down syndrome (DS), or Down's syndrome, is a genetic disorder caused by the presence of all or part of a third copy of chromosome 21. It is typically associated with physical growth delays, a particular set of facial characteristics and a severe degree of intellectual disability. Most people with Down syndrome live with the abnormalities.
However, in Manmin Central Church, a great number of people have experienced that their babies diagnosed with a high risk for Down syndrome during pregnancy were healed through Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer since 1982 the opening year of the church till now.
In her fourth month of pregnancy 16 years ago, in her old age, Senior Deaconess Heeyoung Yang, aged 56 (Photo 4), heard that her baby was suspected of having Down syndrome. But she did not worry at all. This was because her husband Deacon Hyungju Park had been healed of backaches that had troubled him for 10 years and she was healed of vocal cord nodules by the power of God. They went to Dr. Jaerock Lee and received his prayer with faith. Then, she delivered a healthy boy. The high risk for Down syndrome was again identified in her second baby when she was three months into her pregnancy, but once again, she delivered a normal son after receiving Dr. Lee's prayer. She and her husband have taught their children not to forget the grace of God by which they were born and the two children have grown up well. They gave thanks to the Lord.
A number of testimonies have been sent by those who were protected against pregnancy risks leading to fetal deformities through Dr. Lee's space-and-time-transcending prayer. Deaconess Eunjin Park aged 35 in Calgary Manmin Church (Photo 5) had an ultrasound during the pregnancy of her first child in 2008. Her doctor recommended for her to have more tests, so she had more than 10 tests in several hospitals. She learned that her baby had a spot or a hole in her heart, her kidney hadn't grown properly, and chances were high that the baby would have Down syndrome. She had nothing she could do but just offer tearful prayers to God with her husband Deacon Juncheol Kwon. It was not until they asked Dr. Jaerock Lee to pray for them and received his prayer that they became assured of having a normal child. And peace came upon them. Four months later, she delivered a healthy baby who weighed 3.6kg and is now growing well.
In addition to them, there are many people whose babies, though diagnosed as having danger of being born with Down syndrome, were born completely normal through Dr. Lee's prayer including Deaconesses Hyesuk Kim (Photo 1), Kyuhee Yim (Photo 2), Hyunhee Kim (Photo 3), Aemi Song, Sundeok Kim, Junghee Kim, Myungsuk Yu, Songhee Shin, Jaesuk Choi, Jinhyung Cho, Yunhee Kim, Sungsuk Lee, Ohrye Park, and Hyojung Kim, Senior Deaconess Suhee Yim, and Sister Miyoung Kim.
Dr. Gilbert Chae, President of WCDN (World Christian Doctors Network) commented on those testimonies, "A sperm or egg cell (gamete) is produced with an extra copy of chromosome 21; this cell thus has 24 chromosomes, which causes Down syndrome. The embryonic cell becomes a fetus through cell division, and the embryo has 47 chromosomes, with three copies of chromosome 21. In other words, trillions of cells of the embryo have three copies of chromosome 21 each. Even with modern medicine, it is impossible to change such a large number of cells into normal cells with normal chromosome configuration. I am thrilled just to think about Dr. Jaerock Lee's power of re-creation that removes each extra copy of chromosome from trillions of cells in a short moment."
Down syndrome is mostly caused when ancestors or parents committed sins leading to death such as serious idol-worshipping or blaspheming, opposing, or disgracing the Spirit (Ref: 1 John 5:16). Thus, if the parents repent of the sins before birth and receive the prayer of the power of re-creation, it is possible to heal it because the fetus themselves had not committed any sins. The God of love desires to give good things to His children all the time. To receive answers from Him, people need to show a minimal level of actions in faith. Those are to keep whole Sabbath holy, give whole tithes, and live by the Word of God.
Deaconess Eunjin Park and her husband in Canada visited Korea to express their thankful hearts to Dr. Jaerock Lee when their daughter Yeji was three months old. Yeji, who had burst into tears before strangers, smiled sweetly seeing Dr. Lee. She is now six years old (The photo below)
