On March 29, 2013, during the second half of Friday All-night Service, the 2013 Easter Performance was delivered. The performance reproduced Jesus' ministry, anguish, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension that are recorded in the Bible. The love of the Lord and the hope for the resurrection were added to the audience. Through the frame narrative Mary Magdalene the apostles Peter and John reminisced about the times when they were with the Lord. It is of note in particular that the songs that performers, choirs, and Nissi Orchestra sang and played as they offered praise in the presentation had all been given by God Himself just as He had written songs for the Israelites in Deuteronomy 31:19 and 22. They greatly moved the hearts of the audience. In addition, the special stage was built with a 5-degree slope so that it could seem more realistic even to those who were seated at a distance.
Act 1 Jesus' Ministry
Jesus the Son of God came to the earth to save all mankind, proclaimed the gospel of the kingdom, and healed every kind of disease and every sort of infirmity during His three-year public ministry.
Act 2 Jesus' Passion
In order to redeem us from our sins, Jesus paid the price of justice by wearing the thorny crown, being scourged, and being nailed through on His hands and feet.
Act 3 The Lord's Resurrection and Ascension
The Lord defeated death and resurrected on the third day after His burial. Later He presented Himself alive for 40 days and then He ascended into heaven while men of Galilee were watching Him. It was in this way that He gave the hope for resurrection to them.
