“I couldn’t hear in the left ear for long but I can hear now!”
New Update
About 5 years ago, I left the church and became lukewarm. Meanwhile I developed acute arthritis on the left knee and had difficulty climbing a building without an elevator. Still less, the hearing on the left ear worsened due to the aftereffects of brain tumor surgery and I was diagnosed with hearing impairment at the end of 2023. Then, I began wearing a hearing aid. ...

Passion Week & Easter Performance - 'The Lord is the Christ' Meditating on Jesus' love on the cross

Easter Sunday is a Christian festival celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ after His crucifixion. During Passion Week prior to Easter Day, Christians deeply meditate on Jesus' love on the cross and pray with deep reverence and devotion.

In addition, Manmin Central Church is now having a double session consecutive special Daniel Prayer Meeting with Manmin Prayer Center President Mrs. Boknim Lee that kicked off on March 18, 2013 under the prayer title of 'Fruits of Heaven'. Through this meeting, the church members pray, give thanks and repent reflecting on God's love in the sacrifice of His only begotten Son and on the Lord's love that redeemed us from sins through the crucifixion. During the Sunday Morning Service on March 24, 2013, Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee preached a message entitled "The Lord is the Christ (1)" taken from Isaiah 53:5, commemorating Palm Sunday and the first day of Passion Week. All members participated in Jesus' suffering on the cross by giving more than a single meal fasting on Friday, the day when Jesus was crucified.

During the first half of Friday All-night Service on March 29, 2013, Dr. Lee preached the message with the title of "The Lord is the Christ (2)" based on Philippians 2:5-8. In the second half, the Performing Arts Committee, chaired by Pastor Heejin Lee, offered the Easter Performance under the title of "The Lord is the Christ". The Friday All-night Service is a two-part service with the first part from 11 P.M. until about 1 A.M., a short break of 30 minutes and then resuming until 4 A.M. every Friday.

The performance was produced with the songs God Himself has given the church just as He wrote the songs for Israelites as read in Deuteronomy 31:19 and 22. For 2013 Easter Performance, new songs have been released such as 'Song of Mary Magdalene', 'Song of Peter', and 'Song of the Apostle John'.

In Act 1, "The Confession of the Remnant", Mary Magdalene, Peter, and John who loved the Lord remind themselves of precious moments with the Lord and make beautiful confession. In Act 2, "Reminiscence, Crucifixion", they recall the Lord's hardship.

Act 3, "Reminiscence, Lord's Resurrection" shows that Mary Magdalene was a witness to the resurrected Lord and Virgin Mary and the Lord's disciples heard about the resurrection of the Lord. With Act 4, "Lord's Ascension" as the finale, the performance came to an end with the members' giving thanks to the Lord who became the first fruits of the resurrection.

Approximately 270 people took part in 2013 Easter Performance including performers, staff, the members of Immanuel choir, and Nissi Orchestra, which brought greater emotional consciousness to audiences than any other year.

After the Crucifixion

So sad and sorrowful... So sad and sorrowful…
The Lord of all creation condemned by disbelief.

Now we know. We understand.
Now we know. We understand.
The Lord bought man's salvation.
He showed that we might trust.

Many people shout it out with joy.
God's children shout it out with joy.
The love of the Savior,
Perfected love shown upon the cross.

The perfect love shown on the cross.
The power of love made known to us.
Amazing power of God's own Son.
He showed that we might trust.

With our love for Him, go out and feed His sheep.
With our love for Him, go out and feed His sheep.

With the love of a shepherd,
the perfect Savior, the love of God
The perfect love.
