From Monday, November 27, to Wednesday, November 29, the Women's Mission of the Seoul Region (Deaconess Ha-sun Kwon, President) sponsored and ran the "Sharing Kimchi with the Neighbors" campaign. After pickling an assortment of 3,000 heads of cabbages and other vegetables into Kimchi, a traditional and popular Korean side dish, Mission members distributed them to approximately 750 households in Manmin's neighborhood including the elderly living in solitude, teenage leaders of families, ministers and pastors, and full-time workers at Manmin Joong-ang Church. On November 29, the Mission members visited the "Ohryu 1-dong Free Meal Service Facility" and presented it with enough Kimchi to last through the winter. The head of the Facility, Ms. Hwa-ja Kim, expressed her gratitude. "Thank you very much for your thoughtfulness year in and year out," she said. "Thanks to you, we won't have to worry about Kimchi this year, either!"
