"We Are Thankful for This Duty of Service to Church Members!"
At the 2010 Inauguration Service the 178 inaugurators offered service to God and pledged to faithfully perform their duties and responsibilities to fulfill the visions given by God during this 'Third Stage of Take- off of the Church'. This 2010 Inauguration Service was held in the main sanctuary of Manmin Central Church at 15:00 on September 19. At the first part of this service, Dr. Jaerock Lee, Chairperson of the United Holiness Church of Jesus Christ, delivered the message titled 'Spiritual Servants' based on 1 Corinthians 15:31.' In his message he emphasized, "If you have your old self, you cannot either obey or listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit. That's why you have to put yourself to death every day: For this, first, you have to cast off your pride; second, you have to humble yourself; and third, you have to fervently pray so that you can communicate with God." During the second part of the service the inauguration ceremony was held for a total of 178 participants—8 assistant pastors, 23 elders, 131 senior deaconesses, 11 honorary senior deaconesses, and 5 associative senior deaconesses. The ceremony was celebrated by Dr. Jaerock Lee, and each and every of them vowed in front of God and the congregation to dedicate themselves to the kingdom of God and the congregation applauded with joy. At the third section, the congratulatory address was given by Rev. Dr. Esther Chung, Vice-chairperson of the United Holiness Church of Jesus Christ and Former President of Seoul Women's University. Elder Dr. Sangyul Park, President of the Graduate School of Construction Legal Affairs of Kwangwoon University and Director of Juridical Affairs Office, gave an advisory address. Pastor Wanhee Won gave the responsive address. In celebration of this ceremony, Hallelujah Praise Mission Team sang a special song titled "Blessed Day." A total of 178 people were inaugurated. That is more than twice the number last year. Elder Hyuksoo Choi who has inaugurated this year along with his wife Senior Deaconess Heesoo Kim, said, "Looking back at my past life I found flawed aspects and I prayed for the change and growth. I now have a greater sense of responsibility to set and maintain a good example for many church members. I want to serve the church as a faithful worker." Senior Deaconess Mija Park confessed, "I came to Manmin Church in my high school days. Now I am sorry for the life I have led for the last 28 years because I've not accomplished more of a spiritual heart. Until the Lord comes back, I'll stay awake always and be faithful to the church." Their faithful and beautiful service will receive glorious rewards in Heaven.
At the 2010 Inauguration Service twenty-three elders were ordained by seven pastors who were appointed for their ordination. Afterwards there were so many senior deaconesses that they came in two groups to the lower altar to be inaugurated and greet to the audience.
