Pastor Sunghun Ahn, who has conducted the Immanuel choir for 27 years since 1983, will be concentrating on taking care of more souls at Manmin as a Parish Pastor, so Deacon Hangu Kim was appointed as the new conductor of the Immanuel Choir. Deacon Hangu Kim graduated from the College of Music, Seoul National University (majoring in instrumental performance). He obtained a diploma of 2nd Fase Trumpet at the Zwolle Conservatorium of the Netherlands and then received a diploma of 2nd Fase Hafabra at the Rotterdam Conservatorium and Fontys Conservatorium of the Netherlands. He used to be a lecturer at the Gwangju University, and a member of the Rotterdam Young Philharmonic Orchestra, and also an invited conductor of 2 orchestras in Limburg and Rotterdam in the Netherlands and Altena Brass Band. Currently he is the leader of brass in Nissi Orchestra, and senior conductor of the Yang-um Proam Harmonic Orchestra. Deacon Hangu Kim said, "I hope that Immanuel Choir will become the best in the world."
